Hi, I'm CP Coulter.
I love to write, and to listen to music. I may put some original things here, I may put fan fiction here.
I adore acting, and I love to sing. This is why I love Broadway, Musicals, Movies that combine both, and Glee.
Feel free to look around.

A Reminder: Hi! Please check the FAQs, maybe your question can be answered there. Also, I'm sorry if I don't get to your question. It could be
a) it got buried,
b) it has been asked and answered before
c) it would reveal too much plot, or
d) I would answer you, but you don't have an ask box I can drop the answer in. :)
This is going to sound strange.
But with the attention Dalton is getting, my family started to worry. About people ripping off the work, and claiming it. Or something similar.
So in order to protect me, and Dalton, I was told that it was necessary that I come out. By that I mean, to tell you who I am. So that, in front of this entire audience that built up, everyone knows that I wrote Dalton.
I’m not comfortable about it, but I was told that I should do it. I don’t want to do it, actually, as I fear that I might lose credibility. But…here it is.
It’s odd that to protect myself, I have to come out of my pseudonym, but…here goes.
My name is Monique Dimanlig. I’m 23 years old. I live in the Philippines.
I graduated Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of Sto. Tomas.
If you google my name, most likely my cosplay stints and some of my modeling may come up. This is part of the reason why I didn’t want my name out—after this, you might not take me as seriously and I would’ve rather the work speak for itself, no matter how bad it turns out.
I love Glee, I love Chris Colfer, and I’ve loved to write ever since I was in grade school, filling notebook after notebook of text. I have dozens of unfinished blurbs in my computer, and several pending original fiction. Most of them being BL (boy love), especially after my schooling made emphasis on Gay Literature.
I wrote Dalton after one year of inactivity, after my mother said that my writing would deteriorate if I did not continue to write. I wrote Dalton to test my abilities, to see if I could still write anything good after all this time. This is why I never asked for reviews, or just urged everyone to read it in their spare time if they could be bothered. I didn’t think it would be any good.
And yet…after 100,000 words, equally as much pageviews, and 1,000 comments… I started to have one little shred of hope. That maybe I could still write.
It’s not perfect, if you ask me. But if you’re willing, I’d like to continue this journey with you. :)
PS. Sorry, bethandbee, I’m not Chris Colfer. :D I dream of meeting him someday, though, and thanking him

Atalya (nerdbookcaterpillar) asked: I was just wondering, what do you do when you’re not writing? What are your other hobbies? What do you actually do for a living?
It’s just that so many of your fans are so focused on your writing I think you need to remind us that you have other things going on :) Also, I’m just really curious…
Thanks,
Atalya
I mainly write, yes. Even at work. My job is to write content for websites. Lots of different topics, you see (they can range from caring for pet dogs all the way to complicated matters in cloning and stem cells. I get lots of stuff thrown at me.). It’s a nine-hour-a-day job.
I also cosplay. :) I’m…a little known, I guess? :) Mainly for my geiko cosplay. I get my costumes ready and I construct my own accessories and other essentials. I go to conventions to see other cosplayers, and on occasion I get booked by photographers for cosplay shoots. I also get called upon sometimes to participate in events as a guest cosplayer. I’m part of this pack (we’re not a group per-se, some of them are, but I’m a “solo”, mainly) which usually gets called to appear in stuff.
I’m also a member of the Animax Youth Council. Which means I go to events to represent them. I got called a couple of times to cosplay for their events, including press conferences. I also get tickets to the movies whose screenings in this country they sponsor, and I write about them.
Sometimes I write scripts for stuff for my mom’s line of work, mostly for audiovisual presentations.
I also try to keep up on my modeling, with photoshoots and stuff, and sometimes I go on go-sees and meet people and I also audition sometimes for stuff like indie movies, music video casting calls, etc.
When I’m at home, I read as much as I possibly can. Usually before I black out to sleep. But before that I make sure to check tumblr, answer as many questions as I can, check how people are doing, see if anyone needs help, try to leave stuff in their ask boxes, and mainly have fun with all of you wonderful people.
In between those, I write the drabbles and stuff, and the side-stories, and little tidbit stories you find in the sidebar. I universe-build and try to conceptualize things. I write Dalton when I’ve gotten some of the plotbunnies settled down. I try to write as much as I can. Usually when music is blasting or a movie is playing on top of the other windows, just for company, s’all. I’m alone a lot in my room, but I actually prefer being alone in my room because I can concentrate and technically “cool down” and rest. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I play video games. I used to be on MMORPGs, but I don’t have much time now. I usually play strategy games at home.
Sometimes I go out and see IRL friends, have dinner with them, go shopping with them, hang out with them in a coffeeshop, watch a movie with them and the like. :)
So…yeah, I live the life of a geek~
